The Final GreenS Conference was held on 19th of April 2018 at the Interhotel “Cherno more” – Varna, Bulgaria. The event was hosted by the Black Sea Regional Agency for Energy Management (BSRAEM), as the main purpose was to inform local and central authorities and some key enterprises that may benefit from the project tools produced, as well to share an experience between partner’s countries on pilot projects implemented and the main results achieved.
The morning session was entirely focused on the Bulgarian participants, in order to present the GreenS innovative approach to GPP and the main project achievements, as well to be able to exchange experience and best practice examples from Bulgarian pubic authorities. Mrs. Eva Radeva, Director of the National Public Procurement Institute, was invited as lecturer at the event. The presented municipal experts from the different departments and directorates of the Bulgarian Black Sea municipalities (Varna, Nesebar, Dolni chiflik, Devnya, Aksakovo, Byala, Dobrich, Beloslav, Dalgopol and Shabla) were aware of the content and the benefits of the green public procurement and the experience and best practices of the Bulgarian municipalities.
During afternoon session GreenS partners were invited to present the pilot GPPs implemented in partner countries, as well support provided to the public authorities. Mr. Blagoy Stanchev, Parliamentary Secretary of the NAMRB presented the elaborated templates of green procurement documentation for pilot product groups: Vehicles, Street Lighting, Computers and Monitors, Energy Audits, Photovoltaic and Solar Systems.
The Final Conference started with the promotion of the produced Greens video “Step by step”, presenting in an attractive and user friendly way the benefits of green procurement and the results achieved under the GreenS project.
